The ‘Why’ Behind Life Enrichment at Spring Ridge

Each day, we prioritize connection. There are many benefits of remaining social throughout ones aging journey. The Alzheimer’s Association states that social activity supports brain health and reduces rates of disability (more information here).  At Spring Ridge, we couldn’t agree more; we have a robust Life Enrichment program led by our activity director, Patty Castillo. Patty, our activity assistants, and our amazing team of care staff all support our residents’ social lives. Play is medicine!

As soon as a new resident moves into Spring Ridge, Patty meets with them one-on-one to get to know them and their interests. The care team also seeks to know each resident’s history to help match activities to their liking. If an upcoming event may peak a resident’s interest, we always encourage their participation. Most importantly, we welcome family and friends to join us at Spring Ridge in any of our activities or events. Please, let us know in advance and we will plan for your visit.

Life Enrichment For All!

Spring Ridge offers many different social and leisure activities through the Life Enrichment program.  Helping our residents remain active, social, and involved in their community is our goal. What’s more, we strive to have options that meet a variety of needs while simultaneously enriching the whole person. Whether you or your loved one enjoy bingo, cards, outings, entertainment, exercise, bible study or even special group cooking activities – we mix things up to optimize happiness and engagement.
